- Brush your pet’s teeth! Good oral hygiene for your pet can increase your pet’s quality of life, as well as their quantity of life. Done correctly, your pet will look forward to this bonding time together.
- Take more and longer walks.
- Begin a Pet Health Journal. Pet parents should know their pet’s normal health so they can more quickly recognize when the pet is presenting behaviors or signs that are not normal. Getting a baseline of your pet’s health at the beginning of the year helps you notice any changes throughout the year.
- Pet Identification. Make sure all pets’ licensing, chips, vaccinations and health records are up-to-date. Be sure to print copies and keep them in a pet first aid and emergency kit.
